Teaching young impressionable students is an exciting challenge.  I began my teaching career as a speech therapist. Helping young students improve and correct speech and language delays was a rewarding experience.  However, I decided to expand my horizons and began teaching pre-kindergarten several years ago.  Helping to develop and stimulate young minds is a remarkable adventure.  Educators can significantly impact the lives of youngsters throughout the educational arena.  Children truly maximize their potential when there is a strong bond between the family, school and community.

     As a Baton Rouge native, I earned my B.S. degree in Education with an emphasis in Speech and Language Therapy from Louisiana State University and a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas Southern University.
